True. Even with the fact that it's his first time seeing a girl his age, it doesn't give him the benefit of the doubthe's the son of high nobility, surely there's more than a few maids working for them...
I think he meant it in a metaphorical sense. The maids at his house were probably background noise, which is a sentiment most nobility share about the servants, and up till that point he was so entrenched in his little world of “boys only” that he probably never registered other girls his age until he met Nicole. He may have never had to attend a tea party before, since it’s historically a ladies’ party.what, this guy never saw a "girl" before?

...So, he is not ending with her right?... look at it from her point of view, not even a single time has he shown any care to her, nothing, none... not even empty pleasantries. But she has to be OK with that, i know it happens IRL all the time but that is why we read this type of thing... well i guess the author is a thrill seeker.
At this point is not even funny anymore... being forever alone looks like a better ending for her at this point... i wouldn´t let this guy be the head of anything, he can barely manage to be a grunt... no maids, no mother, sister... no one to correct the behavior.
I want MC´s parents to know, this poor excuse of a man´s parents to know, the enemies of those parents to know... because the guy must learn through shame and then loose either way.
I've read plenty of romance stories with characters like Kaios in them - distant fiances who don't make any attempt to connect with or understand their partners for years, who are overly preoccupied with how their social standing is being impacted by their partner's growing disinterest rather than actually trying to bridge the gulf that's formed between them, and react to this loss of control by yelling and insisting that their neglected fiancee simply stop expressing their autonomy and do what they're told. Except, these other Kaios-like characters are never the male lead - they're the useless former fiance who gets dumped at the beginning of the series, while the female lead goes on to marry a much more attractive alternative....So, he is not ending with her right?... look at it from her point of view, not even a single time has he shown any care to her, nothing, none... not even empty pleasantries. I agree, years of disinterest is solved with a few dates. It takes action and dedication without anger to win someone back.I've read plenty of romance stories with characters like Kaios in them - distant fiances who don't make any attempt to connect with or understand their partners for years, who are overly preoccupied with how their social standing is being impacted by their partner's growing disinterest rather than actually trying to bridge the gulf that's formed between them, and react to this loss of control by yelling and insisting that their neglected fiancee simply stop expressing their autonomy and do what they're told. I can only think of one story where the Kaios-type character actually makes it work, and it's only after dozens of chapters of dedicated introspection, growth, and reconciliation. I don't see that happening for Kaios, lmao.
It's a bit of a spoiler, maybe, but it's impossible to recommend otherwise, so:I agree, years of disinterest is solved with a few dates. It takes action and dedication without anger to win someone back.
Curious Which one made it work
