I didn't expect that strawberry daifuku would be older than me.

Indeed, I was surprised when I first read the chapter too. It feels like such an unconventional sweet, so "it's gotta be modern", but the history proves otherwise.

Here I'd been under the impression Daifuku'd been invented around when the strawberry came to japan!
also I have to admit, i don't always see eye to eye with the author of this manga, but this chapter I really, really do vibe with. The idea stores Have to expand and get bigger and more succsessful is. Understandable, but can absolutely scuttle a food place.
