Pretty heartbreaking that there is a high probability that she doesn't even love the MC, considering he was one of many candidates and her immediately thinking of her previous lover when she sees him and her daughter together.
Seems like she's playing the matchmaker for Touko in the creepiest way possible.

I think she loves him too, she remembering her past love doesn't mean she can't love the MC too. Even if they are manipulating him, I believe the oyakodon duo love him for real in their own twisted way.

Hard to say, but it does seem like she's using him as a replacement goldfish while setting up the cards for some oyakadon. I noticed last chapter when she calls him "Darling" while riding, she's not even focused on him. Her eyes are staring off into the distance.

oh shit this might be a family tradition thing. basically due to a bloodline issue or something, the girls don't live long so the mother helps to find her daughter a suitable partner (by dating/marrying him and making sure he's safe) before passing away. the leaving door open thing might be to make sure that the daughter is "ready" when the time comes (in the case where the daughter has to seduce if the male is unwilling). so Touko might not even be a child of incest and the previous dad might've just died of old age.

I think Touko is the Mastermind behind everything, and her Mom just might be in it due to Guilt (for losing her Father early on, and her possible timely death).
In the end, they both want him to be infuriated with Touka, by whichever means necessary.
