Since the epilogue said he can't die, shouldn't he totally misuse that fact? Or has the epilogue not yet been released in the current timeline? Me confused am. Authors really should stop including future events in their prologue.

This is why I don't like when authors incorporate smartphones into fantasy-settings.
It makes no sense and destroys all suspension of disbelief.
