I Agree with "Children are not your property" so the solution is not to become a possessive and super strict parent
It is teach your kids how to know, adapt, and judge their environments and surroundings
Teach them what is right and wrong and what is better for them to do

It is okay to be mad and scold them because we humans make mistakes but do not ever punish your kids severely
Scolding is okay but also don't be so harsh towards them

Yeah children should never listen to their parents specially when it concerns going out at night drinking with sexual predators who spike your drinks in order to force you into marriage, instead of doing the more common rape

Yeah it is not wrong to protect ur kids but it is also wrong to restrict ur kid's freedom and there is always another better way rather than restricting ur kids
Lapy should tell him that but seems like author just missed it
The world of this story is not our modern world where it is safe to walk outside without self defense skills.

The story has shown quite clearly what guys would do to unarmed women if they got their hands on them.

Best advice would be to teach her sword fighting and maybe even some magic if possible.

Indeed, children are not the property of their parents, but it is the job of parents to protect their children. There is nothing wrong with parents being concerned about their children's well-being, especially in an era when assaults on women are common at night.

Laplace, for the first time, I disagree with you. Your anger seems groundless.

there is nothing wrong wight his concern but seeing as how he's immediately restricting and punishing her for someone else's actions laplace is 100% right
