Was this a different TL than the previous chapters? The translation seems a lot more scuffed and several parts of conversation were utterly incomprehensible. Still readable, but I definitely struggled to make sense of a lot of what people were saying.

I think it's a very literal translation of the phrase into Japanese which has then been translated back into English. The meaning of the two is the same, the translation is just more verbose.
