I just don't quite understand what this idea of the jealous male onlooker staring daggers at a guy who's with a beautiful girl is supposed to represent. Like, this simply doesn't happen in real life, and it never ever has. People just don't concern themselves with strangers to that extent. It's a funny plot device, but it's so silly.

Considering how strange irl Japanese culture is, I wouldn’t be surprised if that does exist there.


also the author didn’t draw pantographs on the train, and the operator is unusually terrible at his job (maybe thats why he’s on night shift?) generally you would just use dynamic/regen and low application of mechanical brake to slow down for approach, then use more mechanical at the station. Much smoother ride for passengers.
