It'll be interesting to see how Square Enix approaches this series.
100GF had a slow start before gaining steam, then declining to its current state, where it ranks low on Oricon and is outperformed by most other traditional harem releases. But, despite this, it stays relevant through merchandise, Shueisha's faith in the brand, a solid core fanbase support and overall online presence.
That faith keeps 100GF on track, allowing it to do things that wouldn't work with other publishers. This is crucial for a manga like this to flourish and maintain its user base until it ends on its own terms.
In short, Square Enix needs to commit to this series, just as Shueisha does with 100GF, to compete in a genre dominated by more traditional harems.
