as someone who has dealt with trust issues, a different kind but still, it makes it so fucking hard to not overthink kindness or any actions as just trying to gain something from you, if you have insecurities on top of that, which it very much seems like tohno does. but seeing him actually try to move past his issues is so wholesome. and i hope no missunderstandings happen to make him go back into his shell

Good on Youta! It takes a lot to trust like that again.

But the path to recovery isn't over yet... like what I've already brought up last chapter, or what the other commenters are mentioning in this chapter: if she EVER asks about his brother it's gonna look like she's using him, so there's still that potential story thread in the future.

I really love the way the author addressed his trauma with women. It wasn't drawn out or overstayed it's welcome. Tohno addressed it, made peace with it and is actively trying to move on instead of lying in his own self depreciation and waiting for the female MC to save him
