Yep. It's made into a very delicious dish. It doesn't look super appetizing but the taste is awesomeDoesn't Vietnam treat Giant Isopods as food?
I really, really hope you are right. If such a misunderstanding happens it will be painful to read, even if resolved quickly.I think by now, we are likely free of any possible misunderstanding on his part. She has been clearer than air that she is into him. And he himself is realizing that he likes her back.
Any sudden "OH NO SHE WAS JUST USING ME TO GET CLOSE TO MY BROTHER AFTER ALL!" misunderstanding would have to be REALLY forced to happen. And I don't think this author would do so something so mean spirited at this point. They seem like a wholesome author.

So you're saying woodlice and pill bugs taste like shrimp?Well,
Isopods are an order of Crustacea, which sit under the phylum Arthropoda
And Crustacea include shrimp (among other things), which means various species that fit under the term "Isopod" will share common traits with Shrimp.
So whatever specific specimen is in that book that she's looking at, probably maybe could taste something like shrimp, at least somewhat.
