Nah I feel the same way but then again the vibe of this manga has always been a little off-putting. Can't put my finger on what exactly but the pacing, interactions between the characters and such have been weird since de beginning.
Not say it's bad thought, just a little borderline from time to time like in this instance.

Rather than being tricked into proposing, considering who a couple of the brides are, he's now tethered to the Royal Family, and one of the Ducal(?) houses. If this manga gives politics consideration, he's now bound to the Kingdom, and the other nobles will probably give him trouble for it. To placate them, the King will probably have to give him a rank.

If that drug woman has the same last name as Reda, she's probably from his home village. She doesn't look like a sister, unless she's a half-sister, so maybe she's a more distant relative. I hope not a distant relative whom Reda promised to marry when they were four years old, and now she's planning to make him keep the promise.

I think the main thing is the relationships don't feel like they're growing naturally. It's been a while but best I can remember is that pretty much all of them like him because he rescued them at one point or another, not because there appears to be actual chemistry between them. There's more fan service than actual relationship building, which honestly is all this manga is good for at this point.
