I think "you cunt" is a perfectly valid response to "I tried to bang your wife". The curse words fit the conversation like a glove.
Leon is saying that to the king though. He's calling the king a prick because the king isn't bothered by his son getting beaten up, or his wife being hit on, but gets mad about Leon "upstaging" him.

Not being from the US I find hilarious that people find weird the use of "cunt", "twat" and the ever classic "fuck". As if no other anglo speaking country had their own slangs. I'm not from the UK as well but I enjoy them too so I'm thankful.

Scanning must be hard work I appreciate those who put in time in effort into content I enjoy in a series I love (for free) . That being said.

Many liberties are taken with these translations.

The excessive use of "twat" and "cunt" make it almost too casual.

I appreciate the scans but i can smell a bogan who took a dip in the Thames River through the pages.

Why are so many groups using "Cunt" and "Twat" now.

Or inserting, "Fuck" everywhere.

Because it's like inserting a dead meme that you find funny but no one else does.

Because the Japanese slang doesn't translate to "twat" or "cunt" and "fuck", and it's the group that's acting like a big "localizer.

Because the series as a whole doesn't have this kind of edgelord humor.

It's used excessively and loses its impact and meaning.

Take your pick.

What's with the tagline "kingdom arc is closing", are they wrapping the series?
Will Leon bang the queen?
Will he bang his sister's loli maid who is also the mother of Marie's elf toy boy?

Thank you for translation.

I think they already green light the 2nd season

Yeah, about that. It was released that Season 2 was in production... back in December of 2022. With no new news on that since then.

Given what a shitshow 2024 has been with anime production ("Whisper Me A Love Song" being delayed into the next season and despite being a Spring series is still airing because of production issues and the quality and production of "Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World" Season 2 being such a shitshow that they stopped - indefinitely - the airing of the show and are reairing episodes from Season 1 from 4 years ago for the rest of the season with no sight of the rest of Season 2 on the horizon), I have to wonder if it's actually going to get done.

Then you have to take into account that the studio behind Season 1, ENGI, is... well... doesn't have a great track record. And they have only produced one anime (...technically two, but the other one is a short where the episodes are only a minute long) this entire year. One. And the only anime they have lined up for 2025 is "Medalist." Absolutely no news whatsoever on Mobseka.

Meaning the earliest we could get it is in 2026. Assuming they're actually working on it. And this is the same small studio that somehow got two seasons of Uzaki-chan out the door in less than 2 years. Meanwhile Mobseka is bordering on 3+ despite being "confirmed."

TL;DR: We aren't getting this anime anytime soon, if at all. The fact that the LN series just ended means that, realistically, it should be fast-tracked for delivery for 2025 to capitalize on sales (which is huge in anime production agreements) of the LN and there's nothing at all from the studio about it. Not a good sign.

finished reading the novel few days ago

no spoilers, I just want to say one aspect about the translation
(I don't know if anyone has brought this up before or whether there's already an explanation about it)
it's about the translation of "magic" vs "demon" in the story, in particular the arm equipment that Vandel used

as you might know that the kanji "magic" contains the kanji "demon/devil" in it
that's why you can say that the literal translation of the kanji "magic" itself is "the way of demon" or "the method of demon"

So in the official translations (so far in the novels) the kanji/phrases in that context are translated as "demon" throughout the series
e.g. demonic tool, demon knight, demonic essence, demonic core, etc.
which was then accepted by the fandom (don't know which came first),
and I see that in this manga fan translation, they are also translated in a similar way as "devil's tool" and "demon" (ch. 61, 63,)

as a comparison, I see in several fan translations of the novels, they are translated simply as "magic" until the very end
e.g. magic tool, magic knight, magical essence, etc.
my guess because it is mostly MTL, so maybe they just left it as is (literal tanslation)

now, if we look at its usage in this story, in the current arc, I think "devil" or "demon" makes perfect sense,
They are fighting monsters, it is an unknown lost item, so the word "devil" fits the narrative.
(also maybe it was done to differentiate the "evil" magic from the "normal" magic, because here there are already several types of magic: human magic, elf magic, and later there will be yet another form of magic)

However, in the later stories, this "demon" naming becomes a bit weird in context.
and above all, in the final 2 arcs, I feel like calling it "demon" is just plain wrong
I feel like I have to agree with MTL here. Calling it simply "magic" just makes a lot more sense in the (future) narrative

and that's all I wanted to say, because that translation really bugs me towards the end
sorry if anyone feels like this turned out to be a spoiler,
but I just wanted to point that out as a caution for the translation since this arc is the first appearance of it
just a little bit of food for thought
Er, not quite on your premise.

[魔] means "demon", "devil", "magic", "sorcery", "evil spirit", and more. They literally are the same kanji with a shared meaning. There are kanji pairs that can be transliterated as maryoku, majutsu, akuma, majin, mado, and more, including Enma (the "ma" part of all these transliterations being the [魔] part of the pair); this is why "Majin" is often used to mean "magic person" meaning those who are blessed with magic (e.g. elves, or a race of beings that is confused with demons proper) and differentiate from akuma, meaning "bestial demons", either those who have grotesque forms and behaviours or those who merely are that world's version of furries.

"Fuck" "Cunt" "Twat"

With all these blatant translation innacuracies for the sake of edgy-14-year-old-style humor, this feels like something from Mangastream.
Considering they're nobility, reading the line with a crude British accent makes it work.

We're royaly fucked if there is someone like Marie there.
You bloody fucking jinxed it Leon.

Who or what is cleare, again?
Cleare is the other AI orb that was running the facility the elves were using to study the demon arm and weaponize it, the same arm that turned the Black Knight into Nightmare from Soul Calibur.
