well this is good, a true slice-of-life isekai i would say, most the time you just have the "i want to be a farmer in isekai" for that but they usually involve the MC being OP so they can have slowlife anyway

From what all the expats I listen to say about bread in Japan, I'm impressed this author actually straight up said supermarket bread in Japan is too sweet and fluffy. Artisan bakeries exist but like they mentioned here it's more of a luxury thing. Author is a certified westaboo and it shows in every chapter lol.

2) the church before said era, was more concerned with heretics, MC might've passed any brief questioning with basic knowledge of Christianity
3) she is our witch, so why persecute her. Essentially, useful and not harmful, so live and let live.
4) difference between a saint and a witch is church declaration. Better play it safe, if later proven the former.
5) Black Death was more viewed as punishment from God than devilry.
6) future plot line.

I think historically talking the extremism, witch hunts, and more nasty religious hunting were during the Renascence era, in Medieval times the are mostly hunting extreme case like cannibals, psychopaths, religions that conquer territories and force they belief and aren't Christians, etc.
