Well, the author is using Lunasys to gaslight us readers into accepting the results of the unfair cheating in match and to let the guildmaster off the hook for cheating. I particularly dislike this style of gaslighting where authors force one of the MC's friends to make gaslighting speeches to justify forcing the MC onto another path. It's so tiresome.
