Post apocalyptic manga?

Looking for a manga that's set during or after a world ending / altering event (zombie outbreak, aliens, mutant plague, world gets teleported into another dimension, whatever). Tried using the post apocalyptic tag but most of the stories are set way past the initial event.
Or they were girls last journey type cutsie things...

Any suggestions?
For example something like king of apocalypse fits perfectly... Except not trash

- Alice from Hell
- RYOKO (Post-apocalyptic with a shonen battle manga tone. Fun, but got axed)
- Desert Punk

During-Apocalypse
- Bio-Meat: Nectar (World's stupidest waste disposal solution predictably backfires)
- Gakkou Gurashi (A bit too close to your "cute" criteria, but it's bleak and survival-focused enough I'd still tentatively recommend it to you)
- Dragon Head
- Devilman and its spinoffs (No getting off the Go Nagai ride)
- Drifting Classroom

Writing this made me think how it's both funny and frustrating to think HotD is still one of the best Zombie apocalypse manga.

I have I am a hero on my to read list, tbh I never really noticed the post apocalyptic tag, I think I assumed it was all in his head from the summary but I might have to have a look soon.

I'll take a look at some of your manga too pantsman, especially school live lol, I remember watching the anime, it's quite a funny pretense.
