While Kalren wasn't as bad as her other siblings, he was pretty fucking terrible to her, and she is 100% within her rights to want nothing to do with him. It's exactly like that sort of man to act this way. Totally shocked and offended that a person they abused wants nothing to do with them.

is there a novel reader that knows if she ever forgives anyone? i'm loving this and hope she never does but i have seen a lot of similar manwhas where the protagonist forgives everyone, i hope she gets her wish of getting that divorce and living by herself, none of the characters deserve forgiveness in this one, only lucy is a nice girl

i get that the father isn't truly cold and is just misunderstood (at least that seems to be the intention) but how socially innept do you have to be for everyone to think you hate your daughter and then do NOTHING to change that perception? at that point is not an excuse even if you don't understand emotions you let your daughter suffer for too long to be acceptable

and kalren might feel bad but has done nothing to truly get forgiveness, his only option of redemption would be to say sorry, accept that the protagonist doesn't forgive him, and then let her live her life, the protagonist is in all her right to not want anything to do with him and he not accepting that just shows that the reason he wants forgiveness is just for himself to feel better

and every other character doesn't even try to be redemable they are a bad as they look or even worse
