You do realize that Tezuka can win and Japan can *also* win, right? Japan doesn't have to win 3-0, it can be dragged out to 3-2.

Yukimura was winning too hard for Tezuka not to destroy him for at least a few games. Since I'm guessing this will be the last matches we see for most of the characters it'd suck for Yuki to lose again, but Tezuka has too much Plot behind him. Plus Yuki said he enjoys tennis for its own sake.

It'd also be weird for Japan to win 3-0, in a meta way. This is an Important Shounen Battle after all.
