Finally an isekai that doesn't have an artificial fiat currency totally coincidentally possessing the exact same value as today's yen. If it's the D&D looking one, like here possibly, then I don't care if a copper coin, for example, is worth exactly 100 yen. That can even make sense since it's a pretty convenient value for a lot of small things. Unsurprisingly, the D&D monetary system isn't totally disconnected from reality, unlike the usual isekai author's absolutely-not-yen currencies.

I wonder what that shadow is. One might think it's dark attribute magic, but the people in that world should be able to recognise that easily since it's an orthodox element. They even recognised Shizuru's lightning magic, even though nobody before him had it. Maybe it's a curse that prevents her from using magic.

Edit: Made my point a bit more clear.

I'm not so sure personally. Darkness isn't AS orthodox or fundamental as water or lightning. Atleast lightning is a real thing that could be clearly identified in nature. Light is also an actual thing, even if it is more radiation than substance, that can be identified. Darkness is the opposite though, it's what you can't see or understand, and everything that's in there. Think of things like dark matter and dark energy. There's something there, surely, the laws of the universe would be inconsistent otherwise, but you can't see or understand it. I could honestly believe them not realizing it's her element or that she has one, since it's nature is what can't be seen.

No, dark magic is orthodox in this story because it's one of the six magic elements listed in chapter 2. Lightning isn't one of them, so it's not orthodox. Maybe if the MC has kids with the lightning attribute, the society will officially recognise seven henceforth. If none of his kids have and no more with it are born randomly out there, then he's just a fluke.
