removal of comments

I was wondering what the policy is on removal of comments in several places (forum/chapter/group).
I understand it if they violate rules, for example spoilers without spoiler tag, though I usually see a mod edit the comment.
But what if it was just criticism? good or bad or a bit of both, but still polite.

Thank you for your time and I hope to be enlightened.

We wouldn't remove criticism if it doesn't break any rules.

Edit: removed my own comment since I took a long time quoting the rules but holo already replied by then.

I'm assuming "We" means mangadex staff.
Followup questions: what about groups? do they have the power to remove comments on their page/mangachapter?
Would/should someone be notified their comment was removed?

@maffo666 Groups have no moderation power over other users. If someone's comment gets deleted it's likely due to an extreme violation of the rules. So yeah, it would generally result in being notified.
