Author probably tried to make sense of how Alternate-Current electricity (AC) oscillates and is writing in mind the graph of the oscillation phase (the gamma or alpha, I forgor) as function to time, tying them in with the verses-count-based magic. But like, what, you can't alter the oscillating nature of AC. Even DC current would have the graph as simple straight line.

So, is magic can be used to animate Bad Apples on Desmos, is what the author implies?
