I get your point they show nearly nothing about the mc wich wouldn’t bother me if the side characters actually did something. (I mean they something but their training efforts went for nothing just because everyone decided to be a dick)

Lol getting, it's been grating from chapter 3 or something, the further we got from the initial setup and mindset of MC the better.

My issue with this current arc is that it's treating the class as a character to develop, usually this would be fine but the only other characters who got developed prior are imouto and MCs fiance. Imouto has only really got a scrap of development and fiance has got a fair bit more however she was a huge cunt for a while.

MC needs clarity on his goals and mindset aka. he needs to change them from trying to be a mob since it's been unavoidable that he needs to channel the story and his place within it since it's been clear there are other players as well as malice towards the story protag. This hasn't been addressed and I don't think will be for a while since the focus now seems to be to build the original protag and class up but we want to root for and see MC succeed before those around him. Writing good is hard I guess.

I mean they literally stated a few chapters ago that the entire purpose of the school is to crush promising/talented commoners and prevent them becoming new nobles through achivements, I'd be more annoyed if they dont actually act on it and just let class E do their stuffs lol. Also yall gotta remember that the first duel against class D leader guy was also a "scripted lost" event, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more of those.

There are actually a lot of development going on here. Yuuma got his rematch (kinda), Kaoru showing her immense strength overpowering people over level 20 (first Kuga and then the villain guy), Kano experiencing real combat for the first time and actually showing her lack of experience, even the class D leader guy has a believable backstory.

Overall I like where this arc is going.
