Ah, so Ivy actually does have a destination in mind, and she's not just traveling further away from her home village for the sake of it, or traveling to see more of the world for herself.
She's finally leaving town, and it's actually kind of sad.
This was a good town with kind, maybe even endearing people who were nice to her every day. Perhaps among the best times yet in her young life after the bad times she spent back at home. Maybe once her journey to the place Ms. Louver told her to go to is done, she could seriously consider living in this town. And I still do want to see the surprise on everyone's faces if they realize she's a girl.
