Dont take this as me really defending the author's assertion that the MC could achieve such in the allotted time, but they do spend tine showing the MC training in between cleaning duties. Its even to the point we see her getting in trouble while doing so.

Add that to the intensive "training" and healing session here in the sewers and you have an manga compatible plot device to allow the MC to defeat the villian.

I like how the broom, despite being in the title, didn't actually come up until chapter seven. Similar stories often give the MC their "awesome power" right away so that they can get into the power fantasy as quickly as possible, so the delay here gives off the impression that the author's goal isn't just to rush into a power fantasy.

Even if that's not what's going on, I think that it's at least a pretty good sign.
