I know right, its not like the guy was being mean or dismissive about the situation, she had to move and couldnt afford tuition and those were the facts, the vice principal bitch slap someone doing their job, then made a bet, lost the bet probably screwing some other athlete, and now she is trying to expel a student for doing his job given to him by the principal of the academy, how does she still have a job?

Tbh I didn't think too much about the scene when I read it, but reading your comment, I just reversed the roles: same situation, but a female teacher gets bitch-slapped by a male vice principal, and now the scene looks reaally bad...

There's also nothing in the context that hints Maria is being "promoted" into the Vice Principal's assistant. My interpretation is that this is Maria speaking here, reacting to the Vice Principal's help so that she could keep her scholarship.

Was Kyouko Maria's roommate since she was also aware of the plan & probably forced as secondary/backup bait?

I'm surprised Maria didn't go for the standard bra for her seduction plan since it's sexier than a sports bra.
