Might be my imagination running wild, but I feel like there's this one thing almost all of the female characters in this story have in common

The fact that it's "almost" distinguishes it from the rest of this mangaka's work.

P16. She was writing in her calendar/organizer thingy. The question is why does she hold chopsticks in one panel after that but pen in the rest.

she's cuter and not a complete and utter idiot (it's for the plot, but still) unlike the FMC

They're still eating so I don't think she's signing the receipt yet. Checking it again, she used the fountain pen to write down their next totally not a date, and later, in her confusion, she mistook the pen for chopsticks I guess?

She may have picked it back up when she started talking about Izumi, to feel closer to him, like a kid clutching a toy their parent gave them
