This manga is like yuricam in reverse.
While in yuricam the main girl is a hobo forced to whore herself to other girls in order to survive, but a good girl at heart. We have here an actual rich and powerfull villainess that have no intention to stray away from the villainess route.

So yeah, spiking her wine is the least you can expect from her. And honestly, considering she knew she was going to kill her, i would say that she is even behaving way too gently. She could have simply had her executed instead of drugging her and give her a good time.

So idk what you're talking about - she's incredibly selfish and has corrupt motivations. She's about as "good" as companies giving money to charity for marketing and tax write offs - the end result is positive but sure as shit isn't the reason why they do it.

Sure but there were plenty of ways she could've avoided execution and she chose the ways where the least people are harmed. Heck the current arc of the manga/the last part of the anime is about putting herself in danger to save Abel even when she had already successfully averted her execution.
And that's not even going into the LN content, where it's so much more clear that Mia is trying to do good in spite of her inner cowardice.
