Not going to lie, I'm really digging the vibe of a battle maniac co-protagonist that slowly gets stronger than everyone else EXCEPT the other MC by being an unreasonably durable knucklehead.

I hate to sound like a cliche by referencing something older, but it's like Naruto, if Naruto was mentored by Itachi and Itachi was the main protagonist. I actually really like this. It's refreshing and pretty novel, at least in my experience.

@Lord-Raine Iris would still flatten him. Probably Ruri and Alma would as well, given the chance to leverage their respective advantages. He had to power up to nearly kill himself fighting a weak trapped demon.

@Kanol Well, he has only learned 2 or 3 spells, while Ruri and Alma have their own arsenals of spells, and Matthias has every spell ever plus those he created even if he can't use all of them to the fullest. Demons have super high physical resistance, so without those magic skills he shouldn't even be able to beat a weak demon. Meanwhile Iris is a dragon, and not even one of the god-tier dragons, but she's still waaaaay stronger than most demons, so he can't really compare to them when he has barely even started to grasp magic. Matthias said he had great potential and if he learned magic he would eventually be on par with him.
