Dear God this arc has been going on forever and doesn't seem anywhere close to the end, hell it only seems to be widening even more. The random pointless lesbian scenes took half of the page count of this chapter. Speed up author!

Also can anybody tell me if there's a reason the koenig people look literally identical to the albion people? Is it because albion is obviously supposed to be england, and koenig is seemingly supposed to be germany (their leader is named ludwig and their weapons were called "überwissen"), and irl both places were primarily white europeans?? If so, I don't really see the point of doing this when they're in a fantasy setting with elves and other magical races

This hardly feels like its an unpopular opinion, this story arc has felt like it's been on the verge of going somewhere for so long but doesn't seem to be getting any closer to a conclusion any time soon

probably to make a connection that they are related people in someway, like how England had a german monarch and anglo-saxons are germanic people. The west europeans seems to be all elves with the french-coded ones being dark elves and the more germanic-coded ones being white elves. But the nordics are darwves and we havent seen any mediterranean coded people yet so who knows where they take these ideas

I think this manga is a retelling of the buildup to the First World War. Albion is obviously England, Namashiro was Japan, Koenig Empire is germanic as the monarchs were cousins. Don't really know were Dhalan Empire fits in, could be they are French indeed and koenig is Austria Hungary or Prussia. Austrians were not really known for big military might, but they were very good in secret service, diplomacy ánd the first ones to invent Kommando Truppen. Small units of four to five specialists who did missions behind enemy to wreak havoc on unsuspecting enemies. SAS ring a bell? Prussians had a very strict doctrine of militarismus which I don't really see in the Koenig empire, they're more like schemers.
This arc even with all the lez action is looking more and more like the Boxer Rebellion, where China revolted against being colonized by UK,USA,France,Japan, Russia and Germany. You can read a bit in on it in Douglas Reeman's book The First to Land and there is an old Hollywood film : 55 days at Peking with David Niven and Charlton Heston. Tells the story of the siege the Boxers did to the foreign legations in the forbidden city

My two cents on this arc being long... I don't mind, sincerely, much better pace than the school arc, in this I feel the plot has progressed better, but I won't say that it hasn't been a long time.

But allow me to put a warning... let's be careful with complaining about the pacing in this comment section, I say this because I have seen the vibe of sections like this make a turn into hell, because people start to complain about things like that... I am not excusing the flaws or trying to say that anyone should put their grievances, beyond me to do that.

It is just that I have seen too many cases of what I said, maybe I am being too sensitive about tha,t but I just wanted to put my opinion on that.
