If they atleast played the trauma of this straight, even just his name id like it more, i want more angst. Still good though and I feel like we'll get those scenes down the line.

Agreed, I'm not feeling the trauma or the comedy. I think if the author picked either the sole survivor angle or fixing past cringe this would be a better series because the two tones really clash.

Well, if that was the story that was passed along, then I think even real Helheim going on a rampage would be mostly justifiable.

I can only hope that MC does not think himself above taking revenge for that. Because revenge is cringe or some other shit.

I'm still not sure what would the tone of the story be. It's currently leaning more to action+comedy, but I wouldn't mind it being darker and more gruesome, so it can feel different than Eminence in the Shadows After Story.
