Idk if this has a novel or what and it's an adaptation thing, but he simultaneously doesn't have her help him in the field but also doesn't really communicate or even let her do much at home. And yet he still acts pretty much in a way implying she is his housewife(throwing "we" and stuff, even if he is still being cold and not doing much otherwise)
