I can say I never liked coffee, too bitter even with other stuff added. I can even taste it when they mix it into stuff like desserts and so one.

Having to switch from energy drinks and soda to coffee for medical reasons, I feel slime's pain. It's no fun but caffeine withdrawal is less fun still...

I always go for the cold ones (Frappes or just iced cold coffees). Numbs my tongue from the bitterness and because I always like to drink coffee fast, prevents me from burning my mouth. I don't really care much about coffee because I only drink it if I need the caffine and I want to control my caffine intake.

As for alcohol, I only drink on special occasions.

@qwyxivi I mean, one sip of coffee and the trace alcohol in one chocolate isn't gonna be much. And there are plenty of mixed drinks with both; rum-and-coke and jager-bombs both come to mind (although the latter has a terrible caffeine to alcohol ratio; your heart will explode well before you get drunk).

I must be weird. I like strong alcohol neat and my coffee black. When coffee is bitter, it's because the roasters burned the beans.

I'll never understand why people wanna ruin choclate with alcohol, or why it's so dambpopular in Japanese media.

@Doctor_Malsyn Because it gives an excuse for their school-aged characters to get drunk (even though there's no where NEAR enough alcohol in those kind of things,) and give off some fan service.

Or maybe that just really speaks to Japanese tastes. I certainly don't know any, so I can't ask 'em.

@JumboWheat01 Sure there's enough alcohol in them. You just have to eat so much of it that you'll actually want to puke your guts out from the chocolate alone, assuming you don't just do so without even trying. If you manage to keep that down somehow though, and then eat some more of it, you might just find the faintest hint of a buzz. Maybe. More likely to just tip the scales and finally throw up with the force of a tsunami.

But yeah, considering half these underage characters that do get drunk do so off of like, the smell of alcohol from across a room I guess it's at least a more valid excuse than that? They would have ingested some amount of alcohol after all.
