Oh man, I hope this gets as a good ending as Hokkaido Gals. I cried at that ending. When Tsubasa was walking her daughter down the aisle and Minami walked up to her and cried

I guess that Fukuda-sensei got burned out by the romance conflict arc, I certainly didn't like it one bit and just refused to read this manga till the arc was done. Tis a shame that this manga will end though.

Fucking same bullshit with the romance stories where they kill the series off the moment the characters get together. NOBODY EVER COMMITS. Besides Uzaki-chan, how has this series become like the only good romance manga that CONTINUES to explore the relationship.
What about Anjou-san? That one's alright and it's still ongoing

It's a shame it's ending so soon, but it is clear that the author run out of ideas as soon as Marin and Gojo got together. Some people just don't know how to write couples I guess, which is a shame because there is a lot of story threads that could have been spun in some really interesting ways.

Jesus Christ man why the suddenly choice to end it.
So much you can do with what's left and hell we just had a bunch of chapters that set up more stuff.

I get it when authors wanna just stop because fatigue and health, I have no problem if that's the case but at least set it up

Problem is that author stated on different occasions that she wants manga about making cosplay and cosplaying, and romance to be a subplot. And when she can finally do exactly that, since romance is more or less resolved, she just axe it hard. Really weird.

Thank you for your work @Church of Potteto
And thank you for not dropping the series when it's about to end. We would have lost our minds :notlikethis:

Before reading this chapter, I wasn't expecting this to finish in two chapters. Even after reading it, I was like, "Wtf?" It feels pretty rushed. I get that it's a good point to end the story, but it was too abrupt. But hey, maybe the author finish this series and starts a new one quickly. This is their high school chapter and the next one is college life or maybe college + adult life? If we don't see them with children in the last chapter, there would still be hope. Even if they are shown as grandpas happily together, you could cope with the thought of, "Maybe the new series will add the story between high school and their retirement years".

Man, I don't want this to end :meguuusad:

Wonder if they’ll do the end like the Hokkaido gals one
where it was a series of flash forwards encapsulated in a video recording through generations
here we’ll see every thing through the Hina Doll eyes or something
PLEASE let there be kids
I see what you're saying, that was a good ending but I do think it would be too much, in fact I do think it was too much in "Dosanko Gal" too, and for a single chapter no less, kind of made it a race to the end you know?
Another manga that did the same thing but way better was "Aharen-san wa Hakarenai", in it there is also a series of flash forwards seeing how the main couple's lives goes after, but they are spread out in 6 chapters, from right after high school until they have grandchildren, and it goes really crazy but conveys they had a pretty eventful life after and didn't get married right away either, it was just, I don't know, it felt more natural. And the very final chapter, that was really really great.

so how in the fuck is this ending in 1 chapter?
i though we were past the generation of romcoms that ended when the relationship started
arent they second years? so were gonna miss one complete year of their relationship as teens and their future prospects?
what about Marin future? is she gonna model or work with cosplay?
what about Gojo? will he ever make it as a Kashirashi? since he hasnt work on it for a while we really dont know if he improved or not

Shinju? Sajuna? Akira?

a girl as peppy as Marin never made Gojo meet with her dad?

the more i think about it, the more like shit it feels the series to end so abruptly, i know we had some rough arcs here and there with regards to the pacing, but the series never felt like it declined in popularity, so probably isnt axed

there's a theory going around about it health related, which maybe it is
or lil bro Fukuda just got tired

I wish more mangakas had the courage to write couple life instead of ending their series soon after the main couple gets together.

It's especially egregious for this series. I started reading this because of cool cosplays, cosplay lore, and character development and then was blindsided by the romance plot which I gladly welcomed. But then the series is over as soon as the romance is resolved? There are so many things this premise could have delved into that we'll never see unless he decides to make a continuation.
I was thinking that many of these romance stories are just rom-coms. Almost all romcoms end as soon as they get together and that seems to be the way these stories are treated

If anyone has recommendations give me them

It's a big reason insomniacs after school and the fragrant flowers bloom with dignity are two of my absolute favorites the majority of those the protagonists are actually together
I'm partial to "Aharen-san wa Hakarenai" it's a pretty solid gag comedy and regarding the romance Raidou and Reina are a couple for most of the series, and of course season 2 of the anime coming this year.
Also, "Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu", people forget, or maybe they just weren't paying attention, but Komi and Tadano have been a couple for the last 4 years of the series, and that a series with 9 years run, so yeah take that.

Seriously, theyre cutting every plot just because Marin and Gojo got together?
What about the thing with her being very famous cosplayer being sought after by different teams. Not to mention no graduation or anything?

Its ending with too much cliffhangers on plots. Like wtf
