I like how Augusto could have easily been cast as a villain (harsh father, puts scientific knowledge above compassion and humanity) except that as we've seen him in the story, he's definitely a good guy. Just tsundere.

Well we know that he does treat people harshly, but its that he has extremely high standards. I mean he is doing well with the current group because they are all people that are willing to risk their lives and throw away everything to save the world. His children just happen to not fall into that category
