Also he has all teh blueprints too still.Bro I will just skip/fast reading this chapters until that jerk Arlondo receive some beating or die because remember he is planing to runaway and sell the MC and their allies to the enemy
Eventhough I dislike this character, the way he went from likable to piece of shit is really good from en artistic pov. Most characters are either one or the other from the start. And I'm rather pissed, when the author introduces a typical villainous looking character, with mustache, evil laughter and crooked face, whom act friendly towards other characters in the beginning, to us and dunduunduuuun, turns out he was evil all along. This one looked reliable and got us reeaders also fooled, which makes him fooling the other characters too all more believable. This walking turd went from likeable to a bit sketch but maybe its just a few flaws to a complete and total piece of shit.
I really like Arlondo as a villain he's actually written well. My only real complaints were FMC not telling people him being sketchy until ages later and that somehow no-one knew he beat his brother half dead. Like Arlondo keeps having loud arguments with the siblings in the places meetings/dinners are happening and somehow no maids/butlers or guests hear this?Eventhough I dislike this character, the way he went from likable to piece of shit is really good from en artistic pov. Him being a well introduced villain, who really believable infiltrated the cast, because he can be really charming, is his best quality. I tend to strongly agree with you: What's so iritating about this situation is, that there have been many incedents, that should have show most people, something isn't right with this guy. Words about his misdeeds should have been going around. If those stories aren't fully believed (because of different reasons), that's another story. At least his image should have been slightly damaged. ("I heard that guy totally lost it, when talking to a maid.", "Have you also seen him dancing around that comoner girl? She looks uncomfortable about it.")I really like Arlondo as a villain he's actually written well. My only real complaints were FMC not telling people him being sketchy until ages later ...
Ah your post is fine, well articulated too. I agree with everything I tihnk, its near 5am here now lol One thing to remember he's been harrassing Valetta constantly we just never see it and after that first taking her away in a carriage to clearly whisk her away (specially as she jumps from a moving carriage like its nothing surely Ard would notice thats abnormal lol). I'm wondering if the WN/LN explains this all better.Him being a well introduced villain, who really believable infiltrated the cast, because he can be really charming, is his best quality. But then again, he is a noble. Talking shit about a person in a better position then you and you being in that guys zone of influence is a bad idea. The thing with his brother and halfsis is a family matter. That does explain why they aren't talking about it, in a believable way. And the matter of why Valetta isn't talking about it: Maybe she doesn't want to stir up something, just because he is trying to romance her. (it's still the middle ages in that setting in best case.) "Simply take it as a compliment, ignore it and he might lose interest." There won't be any bad blood, MC's work goes smoothly and most important: Don't offend the noble! As soon as she realized that that guy isn't respecting MC and might be a danger, e.g. by simply talking shit about him, she bared her teeth.
Yet it isn't enough. I concure with you. The the most frutrating thing about Arlondo is, that his hidden and also his obvious misdeed go unnoticed, because nobody is talking about it. Theree ougth to be happening somethings along the lines and those not happening is irritating. That and the longer he stays, the more imanse the damage, when he leaves. I hope he dies before he can rat out too many secrets to the enemy.
(EDIT: This has been meant to be a short reply. Gotta take some online coaching on that matter.)
I would imagine any butlers/maids would probably either agree with Alondo, after all slaves were treated pretty shitty, or keep quiet to fulfill their part of the social contract and keep it inside the house.I really like Arlondo as a villain he's actually written well. we already got the opposing country as the antagonistI know, we need an antagonist, but can we cut that festering tumor out of the story, please?
