someone on batoto said that the LN was tagged with harem but not sure how much of a time skip or other charas will be introduced, but even with a romance you'd think ppl would get tired of harems unless they make it clear from chapter 1 that the mc is a bit pervy/setting up for it
Tbf he said "they're STILL children" i think more of a surprised about how young they are being on their own (if not surprised they were young girls versus boys), even tho he was also young when the og person he took over got 'kicked out'/abandoned (tho two of them did have elf ears so it's possible they're a bit older), or it could just be an awkward translation choice (or just a more metaphorical thing b/c of how they were surviving on their own and acting mature and such and then showing an 'innocent' youthful smile while thanking him)
he was focused on his gaming skill but at this point i don't think he had any proper 'equipment' even for self defense (and more safety in numbers/one person being able to be a guard/look out if they need to pick up and run away)
