i don't think "making a kid stay in school to learn trigonometry or some shit til they're 18 when they'd rather be a plumber" and "having a 14 year old make military decisions simply because their dad was the king" are all that comparable tbhPretty much feels like everyone that has trouble are people that skim instead of read, because it was perfectly understandable.
Aristocracy is not a bad idea because people in their teens have to make serious decisions; that's like saying modern society is a bad idea because we make people take schooling until they come of age. Both are flawed systems, but those issues derive from elsewhere in their systems.
