Hmm perhaps because they are in town? Might cause a ruckus and make more enemies. Plus, more numbers means more variables, and they are in a disadvantageous position as they are surrounded, unlike previous enemies where it's just one direction and pretty much non-human enemies. Why would a sacred beast be afraid of small fry like that? He'd even with holding onto MC would win in 0.2sec

I try to rationalize it as having a child's brain so that sometimes affect her thinking. But you're right, it's bad writing. The author chose to isekai her so they could justify her making smart decisions where the plot demands it, but they also wanted this to be a cute little girl receives love type of story. It would have been better to just make her a child outright and then use good writing to justify her making smart decisions when needed. The constant hopping from acting/thinking like a child to then acting/thinking like an adult it incredibly terrible writing.
It's very obvious how tacked on the Isekai part is especially with how it barely matters until the author wants it to.The constant hopping from acting/thinking like a child to then acting/thinking like an adult it incredibly terrible writing.
Isn't that most isekai? the ones I've seen rarely make use of being from a different world outside of the first chapter, Isekai Samurai Is one I like that make full use of the isekai concept. It's very obvious how tacked on the Isekai part is especially with how it barely matters until the author wants it to.
