I've always wondered why in some fantasy stories, salamanders are counted as dragons 🤔

I guess it depends on the definition of the "dragon"
A lizard that breathes fire = salamander
A lizard that can fly = wyvern, drake

Just random brain thoughts 😅

Thinking about it since I marathoned this recently, what identity does the manga have now that the blind girl can see?

I mean.. You could argue she is still blind, but the Gift she received makes it possible for her to see, so it's more like 'Magic' at this point 🤔

fun fact: in the real world, a carbuncle is an infection of the hair follicle(s) that extends into the surrounding skin and deep underlying subcutaneous tissue.
totally a real fact i did not make up: if you drain the puss from a carbuncle and mix it with 2 parts vodka and 1 part whiskey and drink it, it will have a good healthy effect on your skin and have preventive effects against carbuncles.

That thing is a dragon salamander.

We agree, sadly the author specifically spelled out "Dragon" in Japanese. There is no way to interpret it as salamander without mistranslating it.
