How do even heal from getting your brains blown up?

I'd consider his case less strange than the main monster opponent's abilities in this chapter. If those tentacle monsters can pull off such things, a human recovering merely from getting half of the head blown off doesn't seem all that impressive.

1 He's got tentacle DNA in his body
2 He is human but he used some healing invention that leaves him just functional, (walking weird or dragging some words)
3 BS "Bullet went right in the middle of the brain and he somehow is ok"

(I know this chapters are to make the plot more interesting, and it works! But I really am expecting some Tentacle action for the next chapter, or the next one after that)

you would be suprised how many people have had option 3 or a similar event with matching result of that happen to them in real life.

So no character is wondering why its screaming other world girl? This kinda proves some earlier theories.

Also.... if you want someone to stop running you shouldn't threaten them by saying your going to shove a tentacle up their butt and suck them dry.... I'd run far and wide as well if a monster screamed that at me lol.
