Kusuri’s grandma in this case is actually one of the more interesting characters. She’s definitely the first to put a cold stop on Rentarou’s confession, and she seems to go in it solely because she admires his dedication to impress her. Also, in her words, he literally cannot fathom how she thinks.

True enough the characters are the spotlight making it hard to refuse your point but applying real world standards to a manga that just had a guy immune to bullets punch someone into space will just muddy the experience I think it’s fine to leave it at- yes dating a girl either 70 years older or looks like a middle schooler is not good especially if you’re in high school however I doubt that would ever really happen and if it does address it then and enjoy the Rom Com is my advice but I can’t make you do anything.
