That's because the only positives I can find are general generic things that would apply to most manga, and the negatives are found in the central focus of this one. This is a manga centered entirely around the characters, so to me, my impressions of them are the number one most important point. All else is secondary because they make or break the entire thing.
Then I’m genuinely wondering how you still manage to say something bad about them each time. I’d get it if it was criticism, but you’re shaming the manga for its core concept at times.
Yes, we have crossed illegal and questionable territory countless times, but isn’t that the fun of this manga? Would this be even half as interesting if all the girls were just in his school? No. Also that wouldn’t work narratively because anytime Rentarou would look anywhere, zing.
Kusuri’s grandma in this case is actually one of the more interesting characters. She’s definitely the first to put a cold stop on Rentarou’s confession, and she seems to go in it solely because she admires his dedication to impress her. Also, in her words, he literally cannot fathom how she thinks.
Wow, I just went into detail on how a high schooler dating his 5th girlfriend’s (who looks and acts like an 8 year old 80% of the time) grandmother (who looks like an 8 year old, but acts their age) is a great idea and absolute peak fiction. Yeah, I’m living my best life chief.
