Hmmmmmm.....I want a Book full of Yamada's mom... For research of course.
translates to "This time, all the moms are here!!"今回はママ勢
揃い踏み!!
roughly translates to "Perhaps this misunderstanding accelerates their feelings..."その意識のすれ違いが
想いを加速させるとか・・・。
This was a refreshing thing in SukiMega, too. Komura's mom doted so damn much on Mie, and Mie's parents were really sweet on Komura almost immediately. Especially her dad. Komura went from imagining him being the stereotypical stern dad of a daughter before meeting him to the most laid back and chill dad ever that couldn't criticize the boy for any of his imagined slights against the family with how he interacted with their daughter. I loved the 'future dad-in-law in his head' bits and how they evolved. That series was pure sugar. It's nice when somebody got along with their (future) in-laws
I totally had the same worries. In fact, when I saw this scene in the anime, I had watched through everything from the Rascal Does Not Dream series not that long before (the whole first (and currently only until later this year) season and the three movies), and my mind immediately was comparing Anna Yamada's situation to Mai Sakurajima, and worried Anna's mother could have been as bad as Mai's. Fortunately, the more we saw of Sanae Yamada, the more she turned out to be more reasonable than that. Mai only wishes her mother was as nice and thoughtful as Sanae. The absolute joy on her fave when she found his mom. I loved how excited and nervous she was. On that note her mom seemed kinda distant and a bit annoying; hopefully she’s not a problem later.
SukiMega has this sort of shit, too. But then, that series is so much purified sugar, just about everyone is nice to everyone nearly all the time, except any backstory moments. You read it to contract diabetes. The first time in human history anyone will get along with their mother-in-law...
