Yeah it feels like a lot of things have happened off screen or completely skipped..

I think it's a result of 4-pages and people getting upset that stuff wasn't developing between the girls. It feels like every week there's some number of people complaining there isn't enough happening, so now she's moving the plot along by going from other characters perspectives who don't see every moment of their interactions and we're jumping around.

i think its because they were hoping the other would have brought their umbrella for they can share it but instead they ended up in the awkward situation where they had to share one umbrella with mao between them. not actual fighting just upset they got thwarted by the same forgetfulness/hope.

Closest thing to them having a fight I can (lazily) find was in chapter 100; which is a bit of a stretch to result in this, but I'm too lazy to find other explanation for it (partly don't expect there'll be anything else, too)
