Wait, why was the king right in front of the abandoned palace of the hated concubine, just standing by a broken down wall? And when apparently an intruder was seen by guards seconds before? You'd think the king would be moved to somewhere safer when an intruder is found in the palace just meters away. It didn't look like he was just passing by, nor does it seem like he was sent there by the maid to find her and punish her. And after he threatens her (good job choking an 8 year old girl, by the way, and then demanding answers), he just goes on with his day, so he actually didn't have a reason to be there.
