I can't wait to see more. The end almost made me cry.

Such a touching chapter. They’re all moving up so fast in their careers. I hope they all succeed! ❤️

A sad farewell, though I'm curious at what Sakura was thinking when Kanade said about the different in ability. She seemed to have some opinion there that she didn't bother sharing.
Though when I saw three of her school friends with faces without features, it really makes you realise how little of her friends are school we ever saw. Thought that was amusing a bit.

@TakeiDaloui Yeah, they kind of have to choose their battles here and there as to what to show on-screen so it doesn't feel too slow either. We didn't get "proper" closure with Risa, Takimoto, etc, but much like that short moment with her school friends is enough to make you imagine their involvement in Kanade's development off-screen leading up to that moment, I can still imagine she's had her moments with Shouko, Ema, etc off-screen.

Though the feature-less girl with short hair crying in Kanade's arms would be Yuki-chan, the Kyudo girl introduced a pretty long time ago, and who we saw last time in chapter 70 about love, with megane-kun here being Hikari's childhood friend who has a crush on Kanade.

@EnduranceProtocol If I am not mistaken, the author of this work in the past was mainly known for hentai? This makes me wonder more and more why so many good mangakas are still wasting their time on smut douji.

@SuperOniichan Writing is hard. I haven't really read his solo attempts, but by the looks of it, we needn't look further than Murata to call into question what makes a mangaka good.

@EnduranceProtocol I think it does at least help show that she had friends outside of the others we know, which helps build up the fact that like normal people do you have friends in your classes and friends in your clubs and such, but unlike those friends these ones she may struggle to see again. It's more of a farewell than a see you later in that sense.
And yeah, trying to do this well but not slow the pace is tricky and as a reader we wouldn't want to have multiple farewells going on if the reactions we see are the same in most cases, i.e. Kanade getting sad. The impact would begin to be lost as they dragged on because the message would have been brought across in the first part.
Plus to some degree, I think they have been doing more spaced out farewells. In a way, she said farewell to her teacher through thanking her for all her help a few chapters back along with her final recital performances, and that can sort of apply with her other friends too.

If we're talking the featureless girl on page 27, I'd agree that's Yuki. I was mainly referring to the photo on page 34, where Yuki there is more defined (she has eyes) but the friends in the left of the picture have little features beyond enough to give an impression of them.

I think it’s fair to say that kanade’s dancing style (explosive, memorable, fun, sakura also said she dances more russian style) is probably based on natalia osipova. She’s one of my favs, so I love picturing Kanade as having her career path too (a principal at the royal ballet)

@TakeiDaloui Definitely, and I appreciate that final grounding to her non-ballet school friends as she's about to transition into a ballet school. I wonder if we'll get more non-ballet specific outings/events now that she'll be surrounded by people who she shares that affinity with. That could make for an interesting transition.

@EnduranceProtocol Hopefully. Stuff like the party after the YAGA (was that spelt right? If not you know what I meant) and her just relaxing with the friends she made there was quite nice because while they were sharing the same passions and dreams, they were still relaxing and having fun like normal kids.
Plus I'd have to imagine that her entire schedule is going to be entirely shaken up. I'm making these assumptions from what is known so far in the series and what we've been told but ballet schools seem to focus a lot of time on practice and the education necessary to go around it. So I assume that means a lot of subjects aren't covered, or are covered more loosely than a typical high school. But as a result, she'll have far more time for ballet, and that will tire her out meaning she'll have time in the day she didn't before to recover and relax. And since she'll be surrounded by people in the same boat, it gives the perfect opportunity for that kind of stuff.
That or I could be entirely wrong here. I'm inferring stuff from what I've picked up in this story after all, so until those chapters start I won't know for certain on whether I'm right or not.

@EnduranceProtocol Well, I remember a couple of years ago a hentai's author complained about his experience of writing the "official" ecchi manga and judging by his words, it was unusual for him to work under such intense pressure from editors. However, in his case, it really was on the verge of abuse.

@SuperOniichan yeah, this is so good I really wished Cuvie would just focus on this kind of manga... We can see just how much research and thoughts go to this manga, awesome. But well guess in the end it'll be whatever she enjoys writing, and we can only hope she really enjoyed writing this

@monkry Grande Scène never skipped a chapter so far, and it looks like it's going to be a fairly long running series. Cuvie also does have another non-hentai series ongoing in Erzsébet, although that one is trimestrial and still untranslated (I haven't read it either). She evidently still likes to draw hentai, though, so yeah.
