the dad acted out of desparation, and the MC didn't care and just caused more problems.
Drop the MC-can-do-no-wrong crap... he actively caused her death by making things worse instead of just leaving. And then didn't even bother to ensure the one innocent would be safe... and instead ensured her demise.
His hands are just as bloody as those that actually killed her.
He played a critical role in the cause for that effect, had he not, than she would have lived.
Also.. you ignore another major fact... MC could have killed the dude running things easily... but it was dragged out giving time for that shit to happen...
The moment he left taking all the money, is the moment he decided to let her die, He KNEW she would, and did nothing. And then pretends to care now... yeah nah, bullshit.
Yes but antihero's aren't villains. They just lack the qualities traditional hero's have but it doesn't inherently make them a bad person. He's not trying to be good, he's trying to be logical, whilst maintaining a sense of morality. He chooses his life and end ambitions over morality as it's of no end use to him to act on his morality instead. If he was strong enough to back it up then he would obviously only be kind and a "hero" just like his grandfather. His grandfather clearly didn't teach him to be kind, like look at Noel.
He may not be a villain, like "muhaha, I'm going to take over the world!", but he is definitely a bad person. And generally speaking, villains are precisely the kinds of people who always choose their own ambitions over compassion and kindness. He was definitely strong enough not to knowingly leave that innocent little girl who loved and admired him to be brutally murdered.

I dont understand why people are angry with MC, the father village chief may have acted out of desperation but the fact that he tried to kill people is good enough reason to kill the chief right there and then, i doubt MC knows that the money is for the yakuza debt. The chief probably did something stupid to be even be in debt to the yakuza in a small(i dont know if its big enough to have a yakuza branch there?) village outside the capital.
While its a shame that the innocent lil girl died because of his actions, no one is perfect and it would be hyprocitical for MC to do nothing after the village chief tried to kill them or save the little girl by telling her to leave or something...afterall he is willing to sell his former comrade(assholes) to a slave trader

So that's it the conclusion of the child just like that? Died meaninglessly and somehow died in peace while brutally murdered? Well I guess she is not important enough for the story and author just decide to dump it right there welp can't say anything to it unless one or two comment about the mc, despite being smart or throughout he couldn't foreseen the outcome? and do what? kidnap the kid from her parents? leave without taking the money? if he left without the money, the scum would still have tried to pin Noel somehow. He wanted all the goods from the bandits camp, wanted to kill the adventurers to take their money and gear. that 800k probably wasn't enough to cover the next payment loan anyway. The kid was doomed the moment her father decided to fuck around with Mafia. don't sugar coat it.

1. Kill them. (the bad guys).
2. Just take HIS money, instead of stealing ALL the money. (which caused this problem).
3. Actually stick around to help the innocent girl.

1."just kill them". The guy who becomes the new Boss is A rank. he alone would wipe the floor with MC and tanned girl. How exactly is he supposed to kill them? This manga ain't about a Superman MC. It's a Batman MC. need prep-time and money.
2. what's the difference between HIS and ALL the money to you? HIS as in the agreed sum to deal with the bandits? he agreed to take care of 20 bandits. how many were again? 30? 40? on top of trying to poison him? the agreed sum wasn't fair to begin with.
3. stick around? granted, later in the story, we get a reason for the speed of why they NEED to grow faster, and why MC wouldn't sit around kicking dust for something to happen, but it's not their job. Adventurers. again, stay to defend 1 kid and what? kill 2-3 yakuzas then A rank underboss shows up and kills them?
4. the guy who looked like he did it(the one holding the toy) looked pretty disgusted with himself. that's a sin he'll have to live with and will haunt him to his grave. WHICH probably ain't that far off with a new Disaster showing up within 1 year time. And the former boss will have to fuck pigs or get eaten by them. good riddance. It's always annoying how villains get easy/quick deaths.
