There is an extra chapter on the prince's perspective in which he wonders why he eventually likes Pina even though he feels disgusted at her actions of touching him even when he says no so many times. But when Pina starts accusing his fiancee, he takes it as a chance to humble Remi, who has made far more accomplishments than him as a noble. This has also been his flaw from the start when he rejected Remi for being too successful than him, but when he saw her cry because of it, he realized she was just a girl and accepted her back. It just turned into a problem due to the misfortune of "Pina" residing inside the Star Maiden's body.I feel bad for the Remilia's first fiance lol... Getting brainwashed only to watch your actual love being taken away.
No. They still had their mental facilities intact.I kinda feel sorry for the prince (and also a bit for most of the rest) though, he (they) didn't hold any interest at all for the b!tch before she used "brainwashing" charm potion and whatever else it was.
It's sort of like blaming someone for a car crash when someone else had cut the brakes on their car, it wasn't something they really could control.
I do understand that she feels betrayed by all of them but she knows those facts and that there's only one person (with the possible exception of some of the lesser witnesses) responsible, yet she insists on taking revenge on people (mainly the prince) who really can't be held responsible for their part in the events, I hate to use the term "victim blaming" but that's precisely what it is, basicly: he got drugged so that he couldn't think clearly, "set up" and lost his love. And that is somehow supposed to be his own fault?
EDIT: Ok... one person so far seems to think that someone who goes to a bar and ends up drugged and raped deserves to be dumped, destroyed and ridiculed
It is honestly not suprising but also disappointing that this falso take appears AGAIN AND AGAIN. People and the ability to read and understand doesnt mesh with each other anymore.I feel bad for the Remilia's first fiance lol... Getting brainwashed only to watch your actual love being taken away.
I just looked up "the one within the villainess novel" and it's the first link, its chapter 14. The chapters after that are the pov of the other romance targets. Warning tho, it will spoil the ending of the novel and it's not very well translated.
So how does your false take appears here yet again?
Given how compelling the story is i'm surprised no one's gone outta their way to re-translate it lolI just looked up "the one within the villainess novel" and it's the first link, its chapter 14. So you are one of those people that think that the "charm" spells/potions/abilities in these types settings is nothing more than a slight influence in how they view a person? No. They still had their mental facilities intact.
Let me give you a real life example. You have a best friend that is very encouraging to you, s/he adores you and praises you to the sky and makes you feel good. You have a girl/boyfriend who's very proper, perfect, and straight A, straight lace. Your bestie tells you your g/f or b/f is bad mouthing them, tripping them, tossing them down the flight of stairs which is VERY AGAINST their personality.
Question...do you believe you bestie because...they make you feel good?
As you noticed he doesn't dislike Remi, he doesn't hate Remi. He wants to knock her down a peg. In fact, him and everyone else still very much love her. He's not some a zombie that's been drugged. He just can't bring himself to "hate" Pina but it's not like he doesn't find her exhausting.
EDIT: OK...so I guess maybe the Prince is a heroin(e) addict and Remi is his girlfriend that wants him to get clean. He knows she's right but he'd rather banish her and help falsely accuse her than to get rid of his addition.
EmiPhew, almost done, hope the original star maiden is freed soon (I forgot her name). Thanks for the chapter!
No, that's the one inside Remilia who is 'sleeping', the star maiden 'Pina' is inhabited by another earth/reincarnator
The boys were harbouring their insecurities, envy, spite and possessiveness before they ever met Pina. Individually they wouldn't act because they had to keep up appearances.I mean, if Pina's "love potion" played no role in what happened to Emi, then why was it a thing at all? It must have had at least some influence on people's actions, or else nobody would care. I think Pina and her potion bear some responsibility for what the boys did, even if only a little.
Also, IMHO the story hasn't done a good job of showing exactly how the boys could have resisted Pina's "charm". Apparently they could have, but there aren't any examples we can point to. It would have been more convincing if there was at least one not-a-douchebag male character stuck in Pina's thrall that still managed to do the right thing when it involved Remilia.
So you are one of those people that think that the "charm" spells/potions/abilities in these types settings is nothing more than a slight influence in how they view a person?
EDIT: Also, are you saying that he even had a choice in getting "drugged"? Because that's what your heroin addict scenario is implying. If so, it's the same as saying that someone getting drugged at a bar/party chose to be drugged.
