I think there were two letters, the first one was written by Granz to Ursula, his sister, the second one was a letter written by their father apologizing to Ursula. It seems that the letters never reach Ursula, instead their father openned the first letter and read it first, then when he saw the picture of a child soldier he hid all Grantz's letter to avoid her daughter having thoughts of joining the army. He hoped to read the letters with his children when Grantz's came back. The fact that only one letters was open hints that Grantz's neve came back from the war

Becoming deified through her war legends, particularly the '11th Goddess' story, could be a pretty fun ending. Tanya loses because she becomes what she denies, Being X loses because Tanya ends up usurping faith in him.

Most probably wrong translation/typo, I would have , associated with how Tanya's record being erased from history is one of the reason but nahh! He deadass attached a picture of TANYA .

Although if translator used ai(I'm not sure) to do this chapter then it can be explained as Japanese language can be pretty gender-neutral, so good chance that it Got translate as HE rather than She.

I love how this series got sniped by a worse quality translator, OG group decided not to translate because of the snipe, and half a year later snipers stop translating.

And people wonder why snipers are considered so bad

The problem is not the sniper but the OG translators being babies.
There is nothing wrong with multiple people translating the same title, competition (if it can even be called that for something that is freely given) is what drives people to do better.

If you check chat on their website they clearly state the reason. But I do agree on translating anything you want any time you want, especially when current translations appear slower than manga releases.

The incident you are thinking about is for Lergern kampgruppe(their name changed too for reasons), and it only happened once or twice when illodian ambassador came to visit Eastern front, and grantz added picture of TANYA , so here he probably meant her !

Why would you waste time translating something that's being translated, when you can translate something that has no translation? This isn't for profit, competition brings nothing here as there isn't anything to compete for. All there is is wasted effort, people angry and scummy behaviour
