I mean, that's the most recognizable use of "Date" in japanese for us foreigners...and that's mostly it.

So unless you remember that one person named "Date", or had a character named "Date" in some japanese media you really like, I wouldn't expect to remember it from the top of my head, much less while reading this (or any other romance series, where the context might have your mind you go to a different meaning first)

DW, my point mostly is that it's understandable to not go to "Date" being a proper noun instead of a verb when reading through this, nothing more.

The story is still alive, even after the main conflict of the manga has been solved. That's a ton better than going in circles, just to squeeze out a few more chapters to get paid.
