Well, at least he has a halfway good excuse about what he was doing.. (he can even pretend it was his sister).

Oh dear, writing his own name is gonna come back to bite him in the ass, isn't it? If they find out that wasn't her last name and do some digging, they could find out it was actually his and that he must remember his past.

Thanks for the chapter!
Wonder why the necromancer didn't summon MC to come post haste, or did he assume MC already fought the others and fell? Granted being bedridden his entire life with servants who only pitied him and parents who stopped showing up stunted his morals and social growth, but with all the books he read you'd think he'd think the world was against him a little less and be more caring of others. Then again he did keep his promise with Roux and added his family name to hers. Ten to one Senri is going to remember that family name on the tombstone and personally check into it.

Question is how MC is going to play it. Can claim was a slave like Roux and was in middle of task so that's why free now and didn't participate in battle. As for being undead she already saw him take his hood off in the sunlight before, necromancer would've used him in battle, and with the enchanted items she shouldn't notice unless really focuses on reading him with her powers. Since she still has a heart unlike the murderous thugs comprising her subordinates pushing their ideals onto her she'll likely let him go if he can explain what doing there.

Short Answer: He didn't want him to fight. He had other plans.
Spoiler Answer:
He wanted to make sure End didn't die so he could make him the "undead lord." If End died, his legacy would have been a lot harder to live through, wouldn't it? From our perspective, Necromancer Horus is the MC's captive, but from his perspective End is his greatest creation. Even if End fought Horus it wouldn't make much of a difference, End is a prodigious ghoul but ultimately he is a lowly ghoul, it would have been frankly stupid to summon him. I don't think this spoils too much but it is a spoiler nonetheless.

As for Horus he did order MC to return to him after getting his equipment rather than hide or run off somewhere so wanted MC with him. Also, being the most powerful thing around it would've been easier for him to protect, buff and heal MC next to him along with having a strong ally to help fight or ambush rather than wandering around, possibly getting caught and killed by the knights. Mainly being a criminally insane psychopath with delusions of grandeur Horus would've prioritized himself over the MC since could just use parts of the MC and knights to start on a new masterpiece while if he died MC would be unfinished and destroyed by knights. Unlike many artists it's not like Horus was worried about dying of old age before finishing his project being undead himself.
Btw, is it ever explained in later chapters why Horus wanted to create, evolve, and control a high ranked undead? Horus and MC mentioned several times about Horus wanting to make a strong undead while being arrogant in assuming has total control and authority but not why. Like does he want revenge on x or for the ultimate sword and shield against the highest ranked knights or the first commander of an army to conquer and claim a land for himself or some combination of the above?

the gist of it is that Horus wanted to use End as his vessel for immortality and we see him attempt this when
he survives as a remnant of his former self and attempts to complete the ritual, essentially attacking the MC.

Edit: Emphasis on "vessel", MC won't comply, he doesn't want his free will taken from him after all. Basically, End is the supplement for Horus to strengthen himself by leaps and bounds. He wanted End to return because he wanted to ensure his safety and compliance rather than force him to fight.
