It was more or less inevitable, but the series obviously turned into a regular romcom after the first chapter, which was essentially a one-shot based on the single joke. I won't blame the author for ending this only at 20 chapters. Though that being said, this has been better than many romcoms that didn't have any particular unique traits whatsoever.
